Ubuntu Magic Lamp Effect 0 wave

The magic lamp effect is my favorite when it comes to minimizing windows, but there’s one problem with it, you cannot configure the “Magic Lamp Max Waves” to zero due to some copyright crap from apple (since they think they invented the effect or something). Fortunately there’s a cure for this, you can patch compiz to make the effect look something like this:

For those who like the animation certainly less comfortable if we just use ubuntu without a standard animation we can arrange it. Ubuntu has provided fisilitas so that we can manage the effects on compiz using compiz manager. To maximize the compiz we need to install some applications, among others:

sudo apt-get install compiz
sudo apt-get install compiz-plugins
sudo apt-get install compiz-gnome
sudo apt-get install compiz-core
sudo apt-get install emerald
sudo apt-get install compiz-fusion-plugins-main
sudo apt-get install compiz-fusion-plugins-extra
sudo apt-get install fusion-icon
sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager
